A Minimally Invasive Approach to Diagnosing and Treating Joint Problems
Advanced Arthroscopic Surgery

What is Arthroscopic Surgery?
Arthroscopic surgery, also known as arthroscopy, is an advanced, minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat problems inside a joint. Dr. Rabie uses a small, high-definition camera called an arthroscope, which is inserted through a tiny incision (about the size of a keyhole). This allows him to see the inside of the joint in great detail on a monitor and perform complex repairs using specialized, pencil-thin instruments.

Benefits of Arthroscopic Surgery
Compared to traditional open surgery, arthroscopy offers significant advantages for the patient:
- Less Pain: Smaller incisions mean less damage to surrounding tissue, resulting in less post-operative pain.
- Faster Recovery: Patients are often able to return to work and daily activities much more quickly.
- Minimal Scarring: The small, keyhole incisions result in scars that are barely visible.
- Lower Risk: There is typically a lower risk of infection and less blood loss.
